The self-imposed finish of my 40 day plan is Dec. 11. Unfortunately I had to save all the hard work until now because first a cold kept me from exercising for about 3 weeks and then I started to get allergy symptoms and then I ate a little more over Thanksgiving. My weight stayed at about 131 pounds through all of this, not bad given everything. Now I will give it a final push for the next 17 days. My swimming is up to 1400 yards today and increasing by 200 yards every time I go, about 3 times/week. My running is slow at the moment but I'm increasing distance slowly from 2 miles yesterday up to 6 miles in about 2 weeks. Strength training is happening again, too, although with slightly smaller weights. If I can stay on plan with both eating and exercise I should be able to drop at least another 3 pounds, maybe as much as 5 pounds with most of that being body fat, putting me right where I want to be for maintenance.
After that maintaining should be easy as long as I'm healthy.
