Planning Next Week

Saturday, November 24, 2012

Oops! I didn't blog yesterday but it wasn't out of laziness surely.

I unexpectedly went black Friday shopping. Well, it wasn't entirely by accident but I only intended to go to one store since I had O with me and Ds had to work... and let's face it - a 2 year old and Black Friday shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence!

Anyway, throw in a fiasco with a missing car seat (enter my mom saving the day as usual) and my 1 store turned into dropping off the little one with DH as he was getting off work and a 7 hour shopping spree! Yay!

I finally (almost 3 years later) have decided to spruce up the wardrobe. Ya'll don't know me but one thing you need to know is that I'm cheap! It has been so hard to convince myself that I should spend any money on my wardrobe in the size I'm at right now. I've bought some dresses because they tend to be able to make it through a couple of sizes anyway.

Let me tell you - jeans that fit (goodbye muffin top) make a world of difference. Oh, and another eye opener... at 30 years old and after having a child - I can no longer wear juniors clothing. Did I just say that out loud?? I CONFESS! I no longer wear odd numbers (and for anyone who doesn't get that, teen clothes are labeled in odd number sizes and women's are labeled in even numbers... because women's clothing isn't confusing enough!)

I haven't been logging my food like I should be for the past few days - but I have been very good to half my portions. I'm hoping this will be a good tactic and that it will get me through the next 24 hours until I get back on my "regularly scheduled programming". Ha!

Oh - and did I mention that I have totally figured out that if I could be a stay at home mom I would be a stick figure? I live in a 2 story house... on a basement. So, it's been up 2 flights and down 2 flights constantly. My legs are sore! Oh and occasionally I'm carrying O (because he's almost 3 and that time has gone too fast and I know that I won't physically be able to carry him at all in the next year or two) and he weighs just over 40 lbs.

So - I guess I'll hit the grocery store tomorrow. I'm going to get my menu together for the week and I'm hoping that the sale paper at the grocery store is going to cooperate with my plans. emoticon

I'd rather see lots of fresh produce on sale than pumpkin pie overstock!

I only have 3 more little things to do and my Christmas decorating is complete! I'll post pictures as soon as I get completely finished! Yaaaay! It's a good thing, too. I don't know if I could take too much more of this! It's so hard to get boxes of breakable items out when the little one wants to "help". LOL! Did I mention I was up until 2am getting this finished?

Ahh, well... it's getting late - and I've got lots to do on my last day off tomorrow (I feel the tears welling up in my eyes already). So, peace out, ya'll (did you see what I did there??? a little ghetto and a little redneck).
