Its now the end of the first week. I had a really good week, and that motivates me to keep going!
Some of the things I have noticed in the first week:
- more energy
- less symptoms of illness
- less bloating
- more self confidence
- less cravings *of sweets in particular*
- weight loss
I have a positive mindset, which I think is helping a whole lot. Sulking and feeling bad about myself because of my weight and not liking how I looked most certainly did not help my attitude or outlook on life.
Being an emotional, mindless eater I have been working on separating my self worth from my weight, and making a disconnect between every physical symptom *headache/stomach ache/ dizziness/ etc* and the need to eat. As a result of really trying to better myself, I have learned to stop when my stomach feels upset or whatever other pain it is, and ask myself am I really hungry or am I wanting to eat because the discomfort? I find that if I wait a little while sometimes I can really distinguish between the need to eat and the habit to eat just because.
So my summary of my first week,
- worked out 6/7days
- drank 8 glasses of water 7/7 days
- increased my fruit/veggie intake 7/7 days
My next goal is to do a video blog, so I can look back on it later on and see the real difference!
I call that a successful week, and have rewarded myself with some new workout pants!
