The first snow!

Saturday, November 24, 2012

Today has quite the productive day! I was going to go out to do my groceries this morning, but the first snow of the season was falling pretty heavily. So instead of dealing with the wacky drivers and the weather, I opted to get stuff done around the house. I made my housework into exercise by getting really active with it. Actually worked up a sweat. Woo hoo! the dogs sat and watched me, following me as I cleaned each room.
After all was done and I had had a healthy lunch of peanut butter on multigrain bread with sliced strawberries on top (my clean-eating version of PB &J) and a rest with the dogs, it was time to go with the dogs for our daily walk.
As soon as I put my outdoor shoes on and grabbed my jacket, their butts were wiggling, they were so excited! LOL. My husband had just arrived when I was getting the dogs ready to go out, so he came along with us. We enjoyed the outdoors and the snow. Skeeter especially enjoyed it. He kept diving into the snow as we walked. Hilarious! :-) By the time we got back home, he was covered in snowballs on his belly and legs. We had to rinse the snowballs off of both our dogs. Now they're laying here resting between my husband and I, dried off and perfectly content. Life is good!
Tonight we're going to be going out for dinner and a movie. I already looked at the menue of the restaurant where we're going to go. I will be choosing Top Sirloin steak, plain baked potato, steamed veggies and sauteed mushrooms. I will definitely be enjoying every single bite of it and know that i've made a perfectly good choice for eating within my calorie range. Being prepared feels good. :-) emoticon
