This year's Thanksgiving was probably the best I've ever had. We hosted, so that was a tad stressful because there were only supposed to be 10 of us, but that quickly doubled. My mom and I panicked that we wouldn't have enough food, but we had plenty. The food was good, and we had a ton of leftovers (SO MUCH LEFTOVER PIE. YESSSSSS). I surprisingly didn't eat as much during dinner! And I only had 2 glasses of wine. But I kind of pigged out with desserts...oh well. We had tons of laughs because my family is super goofy. Late Tuesday night my cousin made some not-so-smart decisions and landed himself in the ICU for 2 days, but he was released from the hospital just in time for Thanksgiving dinner. He was able to join us, and gave my mom and me a big hug and promised to never do anything like that ever again, which meant a ton because I've been worried about him for awhile now.

I skipped Black Friday shopping in-store because I think it has gotten out of hand. Why can't stores start their Black Friday sales ON Black Friday? Starting sales at 8PM on Thursday is absolutely ridiculous. I did, however, do a bit of online shopping (-cough- for myself)...$20 jeans from AE, $18 button-up shirt from Penney's, $30 boots and $25 maxi dress from ModCloth. And now I'm realizing how much I spent this weekend. Oops? I did get the boyfriend and my sister some gifts as well.

All in all, great Thanksgiving. Almost one month until Christmas! Where did this year go?!

Sounds like you had a successful Thanksgiving! I totally agree about Black Friday. It's taking away the thankfulness of Thanksgiving by having everyone start shopping after dinner! I also did some online shopping and got some decent deals. Definitely worth it to skip being in the stores when it's so crowded!
