Staying on track through the Holidays

Saturday, November 24, 2012

This year is a little different for me due to my new job. I'm used to co-workers and customers bringing goodies every day and having to resist. With the place I work now there is no food allowed in the office and I don't have any interaction with customers so this will be much easier on the scale for me.

I am still Streaking (exercising a minimum of 20 minutes 5-6x a week) and for the first time it has become a habit rather than forcing myself to exercise to keep my Streak. I plan on Streaking through the Holidays emoticon

Truth be told the most difficult time for me is after Christmas. We always get a ton of Christmas goodies so I end up with all the stuff I can't resist.

I will be participating in the Spies "Breaking Through the Holidays" interim challenge that will help to keep me accountable. It starts December 6 and runs through January 9th. Having to stay accountable to my team has been a key to my success with staying in maintenance. The next round of BLC begins January 16th so I will be continuing my tracking, streaking and accountability.

I think this will be the best Holiday season in many years

I'm with you on Christmas goodies gifts. Food gifts are so difficult.

    Let's finish this year emoticon

Glad to hear there are no goodies in the office. That, coupled with the commitment to continue your exercise streak, are components in a sound
plan. Good job! Thanks for setting a gold standard in team leaders. You have made all the difference in keeping me motivated. emoticon

We have a small team also, and it is amazing how that keeps you accontable. I'm not perfect, but I think of them before eating or not exercising and it usually gets me on the ball. Keep up the good work.
