Paleo Thanksgiving Edition (Days 11-12)

Saturday, November 24, 2012

I hope everyone had a happy and blessed Thanksgiving. emoticon

We certainly did in a lot of respects - did fun things (ice skating, running, walking with dogs and horses, watched movies and football, shopped). And we've been eating wonderfully too. The greatest gift was my teenage daughter preparing virtually the whole Thanksgiving dinner by herself!

The menu was: black olives and date-almond rolls to snack on. Sauteed baby carrots as an appetizer. Main course of London Broil (cooked pot roast style - the only part where my wife had a hand in preparing the food). Mashed Yukon Gold potatoes. Mushroom gravy. String beans and raisins. A nice red wine for Dad. Dessert of pumpkin pie with a gluten-free and egg free crust and topped with Rice Whip.

Yesterday we cleaned up the leftovers. Still yummy!

Today my daughter wants to bake another pie ... emoticon

Have a great Saturday everyone!
