I'm so very sorry for your pain. emoticon

I understand what you're feeling. I've talked/yelled to my mother about not doing or saying things that trigger me: lying, put downs, nosiness, questioning my decisions, nosiness, doing things I've asked her not to repeatedly and did I mention, nosiness?

I am conditioned get tense and uncomfortable when I'm with my mother-ready to snap. I hate it. I want to forgive her for the things she did to me when I was younger. I just can't forget them. And I want to before she dies-she's 83.

Your mother sounds like a sick woman. She's toxic to you and has hurt you deeply. A mother loves their children unconditionally and supports them. They don't call them fat or intentionally cause them pain. Can you distance yourself from her?

You're not your mother. You are your own unique, beautiful person.

"Forgiveness"....if only it was simple.
