Yes, having a weight loss plan is important but being mindful of the thousands of choices each day is more important. This is the lesson that will keep me on track. I am a planner so I like to lay out fantastic plans on how to best live my life. This is not necessarily a bad thing but I get myself so down when I go off the plan and it can feel so overwhelming. When I am mindful of each choice I am able to celebrate the good choices in the moment. When I make a poor choice I can put it in perspective and have an easier time not dwelling on the bad choice and make the next choice good. There is always an opportunity to turn things around in a positive direction.
