Little Choices Add Up

Yes, having a weight loss plan is important but being mindful of the thousands of choices each day is more important. This is the lesson that will keep me on track. I am a planner so I like to lay out fantastic plans on how to best live my life. This is not necessarily a bad thing but I get myself so down when I go off the plan and it can feel so overwhelming. When I am mindful of each choice I am able to celebrate the good choices in the moment. When I make a poor choice I can put it in perspective and have an easier time not dwelling on the bad choice and make the next choice good. There is always an opportunity to turn things around in a positive direction.

Having a plan is great, but being a little flexible is good too.

Have a great weekend,

I can understand your frustration at going 'off piste'! I love the planning features in SP, use them all the time, both for food and for fitness, but I don't always do what I plan.

On the other hand, the overall result is FAR better than if I hadn't planned anything at all. That's how I got to be this heavy - by making lots of small but poor decisions. So the road back is to make lots of small but cleverer ones!

Words of wisdom. Absolutely correct - keep moving forward! And even if you make a mistake, just pick up, dust off, and move forward! :-)

So true! I keep reminding myself that it's not the BIG things, it is a continuous making of good choices. After all, success is just one more good decision !

Absolutely! It is so hard to change your mindset to believe that...but if we could only TRULY learn from our mistakes and then move on! We would be much more whole all around! Thanks for sharing!
