All right - I said that I would talk about this so here it goes! That wonderful part of our body called the colon - supposed to be our friend right? Well....it is but we are responsible for helping it out by eating well balanced meals with lots of veggies and fruits and drinking plenty of...WATER!!! BUT do we really do that? NO!!! Well guess what - that lovely colon can hold up to 12 MEALS!!!!!
NNNOOOOOOOO!!! I can hear you yelling just like I was - I did not realize that, but it is true. When you are not having a regular daily BM, your stomach area can actually bloat up - making you feel sick, and tired to name a few things.
Now then I have some good news - want to change that around - I have found what works for me but talk TO YOUR DR - this is what he told me to do.
I am having to take stool softners on a daily basis. I take one in the morning and one in the evening. Part of the problem is my weight but the other part is the meds that I have to take for my knees. I have to say I am more regular than I was but I have to be careful...they can still be rather hard so until I have my body on a regular schedule this is what I have to do. The more water I drink the better I am. Keep on and eat your fiber - there are many ways to get regular find what works for you and do it - don't let that colon hold 12 meals!!!
