Homework, homework, homework.

I am a procrastinator. Much better than I used to be, but I still have the tendency to put things off. Not until the night before they're do, but the week before. I leave myself plenty of time, but in my panicky brain I think, omgsh I have so much to do and only seven days to do it! In actuality, one day would be sufficient, so I'm not sure what I get so freaked out about.

I have two victories to celebrate! I had pizza and alcohol yesterday in lieu of a Thanksgiving dinner. Immediately upon arriving home from picking them up, I threw away three slices of pizza and poured half the alcohol down the drain. I got a nice buzz and ate my pizza, then took a nap. When I woke up, I thought--blech. That wasn't worth it. I'm done with this stuff. I do think my addiction is very close to being broken :)

My second victory--goodbye, heartburn! It used to be a daily occurrence from my bad eating and drinking habits, but it rarely occurs now! In fact, the only time I get heartburn is when I ride my stationary bike. I've heard this is not uncommon, as your body is bouncing around, stomach acid gets pushed up into the esophagus, etc etc. Anyway, I am very pleased with this, because heartburn suuuuuucks.

Now I'm making myself write a four-page reflection on The Accidental Buddhist by Dinty W. Moore. It wasn't a bad book, by any means. I quite enjoyed it. I just don't enjoy having to write about why I enjoyed it -_-

I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving :)

I've been a long-time sufferer of ARD... Probably due to processed foods and alcohol. Just like what you are experiencing... The alcohol is the worst part of it. This holiday is the last time I'm going to indulge in alcohol... at least until the next major one. I tend to drink every weekend and I REALLY want to be DONE with it.

I think Christmas will be hard for me. It will be the first one that I'll be separated from my son. His Dad has him this time and I'm already missing and mourning the event. He's 5 yrs old now and this year is the first that we've had to share the holidays. Not sure how I'm going to cope, but I've got to make it alright for my 9 yr old.

I'm so happy for you - those are hard addictions to break. My son's favorite food is pizza. It's the only food that he pronounces correctly at 17 months old. Pizza and cheese. He calls Cheerios "Os"...but he calls everything pizza!!!!

Try to time your exercise in such a way that you'll get less reflux. But good for you for doing it, and congrats on your progress. Poco a poco - little by little. Shel
