I took Dixie to the park this morning and got in a great walk. I JOGGED for the first time!!! It was easy and pretty good. The wind was up (30mph) and the temps were cold. 40 degrees after 70 yesterday was a shock to the system.
I had the full Thanksgiving dinner yesterday and enjoyed myself. Back to reality today. Hubby is going camping with a friend and his son tomorrow night. They asked if I wanted to go with them and I said no. 30 degrees for a low tomorrow night isn't quite what I want to do. Plus, I can enjoy a nice, quiet evening at home. He starts overtime next week so he'll be getting in when I wake up in the mornings. We can use the extra money, as car repairs have added up. Almost $2000 last month alone. And we're still paying on the trip to FL to see my son.
So, game plan is to continue to incorporate jogging into my walks and increase it until I can jog non-stop. Woo hoo!!! I've been running the stairs (ramped it up from walking the stairs) at work. When it's cold or I just want to do a 10 or 15 minute burst of activity I walk the stairs in my building up to the third floor and then the hall and back up and down the stairs on each end. Good, quick workout.
I decided again, that wheat is not my friend. I added whole grain english muffins to my diet and the gas and stomach pains returned. So, I cooked up what was left and gave them to my husband for breakfast.
No Black Friday shopping for us, strict no money going out on stuff for a while until we get the budget back in line.
