A Lighter Thanksgiving

We started the day with a turkey trot, it was our 3rd one in a row. Every year that thing gets bigger and bigger. This year I finished in the same time as last yr or maybe a minute off. Last yr I was in the 200 range and this yr 586th finisher. Must have been like 800+ ppl there. All these little boys running by me had no idea about pacing. They would run as hard as they could and then stop on the side panting and dieing, then start running as hard as they could again. I guess that's what I thought of running as too like 5 yrs ago lol Someone has to tell you, "No you just find a comfortable pace and keep it". much more comfortable that way and your not wasting tons of energy going stop go, stop go!
I still wanted to make my moms eggs for thanksgiving breakfast, so I did, cut back a little on the cheese. Still indulged in chocolate milk with the breakfast like she always served. We put up 3 boxes of Christmas lights yesterday and still need more lol. I need to shoot those, my very first Christmas lights. I got all my stuff outside pulled in, lawn furniture, colder tolerant plants, nice clear patio now.
So we made our first faux turkey! It was so filling! There was 4 servings and we seriously ate half of it. Too dense to eat the whole thing. Then I made mashed potatoes, asparagus, my grandmas stuffed (opted out of most of the butter my mom uses) and cranberry sauce. Instead of pie I bought 2 pieces of cheesecake! It was a perfect little thanksgiving and I weigh the same amount today as I did yesterday, HELL YEAH!
No shopping for me this morning. We got a new tv off amazon yesterday. We kept looking at all the sales but the tvs they put out on black friday are crappy bands with crappy reviews online. Thanks to a husband who worked electronics for 4 yrs at walmart. Thank god he didn't have to work black friday this year!!! So happy we are done with walmart for money. So we opted for sanity and amazon plus we completely used gift cards that kept piling up!
Day 66: I started feeding my squirrels old french bread loaves from work. Now I go outside and 3-4 of them will just be sleeping on their bellies staring at me. Yesterday I busted my pumpkins for them. They are so cute and plump.
Day 67: Our new collection at work is all medical books from the 1700 and 1800's. This thing is so cool, its like a paper doll and peels back and shows the inside of the human body. The colors are still amazing on it!
Day 68: Our faux turkey dinner with all the fixings!
