This was my first major holiday meal challenge I faced since I have joined SparkPeople. I have to say that I did indulge a little bit, but I kept everything within the limits of my food log and am very proud of that.
My roommate and I went to a friend's house and, like the amazing host that she is, she made a number of gluten-free items to make sure I had food to eat without feeling left out. Her attempts were heartfelt and greatly appreciated. They were also pretty darned tasty. It was the first Thanksgiving in a long time that I felt in control and in charge.
I am well and truly blessed to have friends like her.
