Okay, I know this is a time of year to enjoy. Tomorrow I go back to eating smaller meals and running and stuff. Here is my Thanksgiving destruction dinner...
First up I had a plate of food which was less filled than anyone's plate in the family or friends. Most had an extra paper plate. I had maybe 1/4 - 1/2 cup of brown rice, 2 slices of Turkey, a 2 - 3 inch cube of my famous Macaroni Pie, a crescent roll, about 1/4 cup of Sweet Potato Casserole and a bowl of dumplings. I wound up following that with an extra bowl of dumplings... then a slice of Pecan Pie.
About 1 hour later I had another slice of Pecan pie, both these slices possibly equaled one slice of pie I had last year. I never had Pecan Pie before, it's amazing. It's basically brown sugar, molasses, syrup baked into a sticky thick glaze filling of sugary deliciousness.
From about 4 or 5 to about 11:30 the family hung out... I basically kinda sorta waited for people to leave. I have 0% in common with any of these people. I had seconds which was a smaller portion of the Mac & Cheese Pie, a bowl of Dumplings, a slice of turkey, and some stuffing (which was more than I should have had). Then a slice of Pumpkin Pie with a Pecan/brown sugar topping.
Why am I saying all of this? One, to see if this accountability thing works, but two, to mark the end of a time period. This food will be here for a long time. My grandmother cooks for 25 when 7 show up :-P
So tomorrow I'm still going to have Dumplings and Turkey and stuffing and Mac, just in small portions. Hopefully I'm able to pass the test, but I'm debating on 1/2 cup or 1/4 cup servings for my measurements.
I was going to start my New Spark 5K training plan next week, but Sunday I have training at my new temp job and Monday I have my interview for that design job that could hire me for forever! (Please pray my temp job doesn't put me on a schedule to work on Monday right after training!) So tomorrow or Saturday I'm going to do day 1 and resume Tuesday once I know my schedule for work. Not much I feel I can do right now until I find my schedule on Sunday.
I'm hoping working during the day will keep me busy to keep some weight off. But other than that, the above is what I did, tomorrow it's about keeping it in moderation.
