My sweet potato dish

Thursday, November 22, 2012

Well we had a feast here at the house earlier today. My husband always does a fried turkey and if I stick to the white meat with out the skin then the fat content is not more. So while I had the kitchen to my self this morning I decided to experiment with the two baked sweet potatoes I had.
I read many recipes so by no means is this an original idea. I took the sweet potatoes skinned them and chunked them; mixed with zested organge rind and orange sections cut up; mixed with a couple tablespoons of brown sugar and some cinnamon, nutmeg and ground ginger. Put it all in an oiled dish and microwaved it till warm.
yummy

Sounds very tasty. My Mom makes a similar dish only baked in the oven.
Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.

Sounds delicious! I like to do what you did - read over several recipes & then take the highlights to make my own dish. That's a lot of fun, & a lot less problems when it's eaten - at least you already know those ingredients will work together! lol

Hope your day was a blessed one!

In Him,

Kerolyn
