Thanksgiving day, and a new challenge

So today is Thanksgiving Day, and of course I'm thankful for family, friends, a good job, and a nice home in a great community.

I'm also thankful that I'm still finding success in my weight loss endevor. The tools and methods I've chosen are still effective and motivating for me.

Today is also the start of the "Holiday Rowing Challenge" over on the Concept2 site, and as soon as my belly settles a bit (turkey dinner - yummm !), I'm gonna hit the erg for a half marathon. Sometime early in this evening's workout I'm going to be crossing the 2 million meter mark. Seems like only a few months ago I hit 1 million. The meters are really piling up fast, and my current official streak is somewhere over 55 days (unofficially over 75 - but I didn't know how to start the streak counter). The Holiday Challenge runs from today through Christmas, and the more I row, the more Concept2 donates to charity! Great incentive !!

So things are cruising right along. Even starting to add some jogging into my daily walks. Need to be able to run for next summer's Tough Mudder, and I've already committed to a local 5k in March with a buddy. Sure hope things keep rollin' along, but I sure am thankful for the way things have gone so far.
