Happy Thanks-giving! Yes it is the fourth Thursday of November and that means the traditional USA Thanksgiving Day. A day set aside to remember that "first Thanksgiving" between the Indians and Pilgrim fathers so many years ago. Also a day to give thanks for what we personally have.
I would like to offer the thought that EVERY day is a day to give thanks. I have lived in the UK for just over ten years and this is a day I also go back to my American roots for and do the traditional thing. But it doesn't have to be limited to just today or just to Americans.
It is nice to know that one day is kind of like a respite from the harshness of the world to gather up close all the blessings we have. However, a little bit of EACH day can be used to ponder the good that been showered upon us.
This Indian proverb came to mind today: " “I had no shoes and complained, until I met a man who had no feet.”
