I am thankful for the People of the United States of America who pay taxes that support Medicare which is paying for my father's hospice care. Thank you all very much. Hospice care started on Tuesday, and I am thankful for these angels on earth who will be giving a much-needed break to my mom and kind care to my dad.
I am thankful that I have a wonderful husband who puts up with me; a smart, handsome, sweet and funny son who thinks that things will turn out just fine, thanks; and an amazing, smart, beautiful and talented daughter who fiercely faces the world. I am thankful for The Boy's Sweetheart, who he will soon ask to marry him, for her brilliance and talent, for growing up with him these past 7 years, for learning how to compromise, and for making him so happy.
I am thankful for each and every day that my dad is still with us, even as I hope for his peaceful letting go.
I am thankful that my mom finally has a little relief from worry, and who remains strong and loving during this difficult time.
I am thankful that I am working -- even when I am really tired of working.
I am thankful that my brother finally has a job. I am thankful that my sister is happy.
I am thankful for loving friends, some of whom date back to my first day of school, and for my SP friends in this safe and supportive environment.
I am thankful for the technology that makes our lives easier, entertains us, and makes our world a smaller place.
I am thankful that I am finally losing this stupid weight!
Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone!
