Don't let your GOBBLE make you WOBBLE!

So Thanksgiving is tomorrow in the USA. For many this means a "feast". I saw one news report today that said some will consume as many as 4000 calories in one meal! Another report said that while turkey does include an ingredient that can make you sleepy so do many other foods and that the lethargy and sleepiness that often follow the feast are just from an overload of carbs and sugars! We all know that it can be a "food trap".

So is it worth the detour in your journey to gobble with abandon? Can you easily recover from the meal or will you find yourself postponing getting "back on the journey" because of leftovers, black friday fast food at the mall, leftover pie on Saturday, etc.? See the danger? That single meal could set you up for a week long detour that could be a major WOBBLE.

Why not plan now to eat lightly at your other meals tomorrow, limit yourself to one plate of thanksgiving dinner with a sliver of dessert followed by some cardio then get right back on the road to "Health & Fitness"? Eat slowly. Concentrate on the healthier foods with smaller helpings of the calorie laden ones. It's doable!

Keep yourself on the journey and don't let your engine come to a full idle. We've still got a long way to go!

    Great ideas! I'm starting my day with a turkey trot with my dad. I think I may try to squeeze in Coach Nicole's turkey burner workout as well. Lets not abandon our goals just for a day of eating.     Wise advice. I won't be doing Thanksgiving tomorrow because we celebrated in October in Canada. This advice is the best for the Christmas season which will soon be upon us too.
