Thankfulness Throughout the Year

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

Psalm 100:4 Enter into HIS gate: with thanks giving, and into HIS courts with praise: be thankful unto HIM, and HIS name. For the LORD is good: HIS mercy is everlasting; and HIS truth endureth to all generations.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. A time for love one and friends to gather and enjoy a bountiful meal. Most reflect on the many blessing they have had throughout the year and give thanks. It is a joyful time for most.
Let this Thanksgiving be a new marker for Thanksgiving. Each day when we rise start our day off with Thanksgiving to the LORD. During the midday take time to give God thanksgiving and praise, again. Of the evening before turning on that television take time to come before the precious king of kings and give HIM the due thanks and praise HE deserves. At night before we call it a day and turn in for bed take the time to just thank HIM in abundance. Do this everyday. When trouble comes and you are continually thanking and praise the LORD (even for those troubles), then you sorrow will be turned to joy. Anxieties will turn to peace. Fear will turn to faith. Psalm 34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving, everyone! emoticon emoticon

I often start my day with a prayer that I have the grace to do His will and at the end of the day, I do a little review/examination of conscience to see if I was open to that grace. Of course, I get off track, but I am always, always thankful that I can start over again: always, immediately and with joy!
