This Thanksgiving, I want to say a special Thank you to & for all my Spark Friends. You are always there with me through the ups and downs. To push me up high on a good day, to pull me up even higher on a bad day.
I am grateful for much in my life - for the abundance of food, our home, and the many blessings that we enjoy. However this year, Thanksgiving is not just about a relatively guilt-free day to stuff myself silly with all the turkey and pumpkin pie I can eat until I explode. And it is also not only about the sadness that I general feel this time of year, as it was on a Thanksgiving evening when I was 13, that my mother went to the hospital with a brain tumor and never came home. Instead this year, I am also filled with a joy that I have not had for many many years. Thanksgiving this year is about being grateful for my bountiful cornucopia of friends, the unconditional love of my family, the opportunity of seeing my children and grandchildren grow and expand their wings, for the knowledge I have gained this past year while on my journey, the rejuvenation to my overall well-being & health both physically & emotionally, and I am so very grateful that I continue to wake up yet one more day and have the chance to make new choices that will take me closer to all my goals.
I am so grateful to be sharing this journey with you, my SparkFriends.
