Okay, so there is nothing really bad to confess, but I wanted to keep myself accountable by posting about it anyway.
1. I made homemade cranberry sauce (whole berry and jellied) and I tasted both of them. I have broken myself of the habit of tasting my cooking while I'm making it, but for some reason, I did it anyway. Calories: Probably 20 or so.
2. I make these really yummy orange-raisin scones that my sister LOVES. I figured it would be a nice surprise to show up over there tomorrow morning with scones to have for breakfast. I decided to use dried cranberries to make them more festive. I ate about 6 dried cranberries, plus a little nibble of a scone (probably the size of a nickel). Calories: Probably 25.
Okay, so really, an extra 45 calories when I had only planned on eating 1250 calories today isn't that big of a deal. But I still have more things to make and I am saying right here and now that I will not taste another bite!! I think the knowledge that I'm not going to be in my calorie range has already gotten to me. Why bother being perfect today when tomorrow I'm going to eat Thanksgiving dinner??
Why? Because I have worked hard the last 3.5 months to lose the weight that I have, that's why! I am choosing to not stay within my calorie range for Thanksgiving, but I am NOT going to use Thanksgiving as an excuse to go off plan for any day other than Thanksgiving!
My punishment.. no, I don't like that! To make up for my tasting, today I am bumping my cardio up from 35 to 40 minutes!
