The Wait Is Over... Food Matters Is Now Live!

2012 FREE WORLDWIDE ONLINE SCREENING EVENT!
10 Days Only, November 21st - 30th, 2012

Considerations which struck me, and my resulting thoughts:

Most of our food ('fresh' produce) is at least 1- 2 weeks old (or older!) when we consume it... which means we're getting maybe 40% of the nutrients we need, and expect to be getting (which is why I supplement!!!).

Between how our food is produced (modern agricultural practices), and how it is then processed (taking natural food and giving it a 'shelf life'), we are over-eating [deficient, toxic food] and starving simultaneously, thus suffering from chronic malnutrition and all its resulting health problems.

If more than 51% of your food is cooked, your body reacts to the food you are eating as though it is a toxin... like it's being invaded by a foreign organism, causing your immune system to react in alarm (leukocytosis), contributing to CHRONIC INFLAMMATION.

26% of people discharged from the hospital are more malnourished than when they went in... and they went in for reasons that are 80% - 90% nutrition related.

"You cannot heal selectively. If you truly heal, everything heals. The body has its own healing mechanism. You nourish the body and then the body fixes it!" Charlotte Gerson

DETOXIFY - CLEANSE - NOURISH - HEAL [correct underlying metabolic processes]... Conquer your dreams!!!
('medicine' should - and can - be cheap, simple, safe and effective... there's just no payoff to the system if it is)

Nutritional therapy [megadose nutrition] isn't on the medical menu... even though the premise and solutions are available and should be offered at a greatly reduced cost to the system. Right now we still have a 'disease care' system and dominated by doctors and hospitals, pathologists and pharmacologists... that sort of system will look after itself and is truly not interested in reducing the amount of illness and disease.

What if they gave everyone FREE health insurance... and they never needed it? [What a wonderful thought!]

We need education, NOT medication!
We must make nutrition the primary prevention strategy for the population:
........ you are what you eat
........ food can change your mood
........ you are everything you've ever done to yourself
........ the choices you make directly affect the outcome of your life
........ if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself... be your own best advocate and researcher

The primary way we are interacting with our planet/environment is through agriculture, and if we change our food choices, we change the face of agriculture... we shift away from cereal/grain crop diets over to superfood, organic, raw food diets... we're still growing stuff... we just need to be more selective about what/how we grow it and feed the planet.

People need to stop being 'patients' and start being happy, healthy, fulfilled consumers!

Sobering statistics:
... heart disease = 652,487 deaths yearly
... cancer = 553,888 deaths yearly
... modern medicine = 225,000 deaths yearly (!)
....... 39,000 people die as a result of unnecessary surgery
....... 80,000 people die due as a result of hospital acquired infections
....... 106,000 people dies as a result of advers drug reactions

(more thoughts to come... I have a busy evening ahead I need to get to while I mull this over...)

This Thanksgiving I am most THANKFUL for health and the means to create the life I desire and to which I am called!

May today and every day bring to you a ridiculous abundance of whatever you need. May all your concerns, struggles, anxieties and fears fall like ashes as you rise on eagle's wings, SOARING above all that would hinder you along this tremendous adventure of being and becoming all you are created to be. May you be overwhelmed by the grace of God as it simply "overtakes" you moment by moment... rather than being overwhelmed by the cares of life!

May you all have a BLESSED Thanksgiving!

That motivational photo you've got is really quite good. I don't usually go for those things, but that particular one really got to me. I think because when I was younger I was in great shape and very strong, and I don't recall if I felt I was BEAUTIFUL, but I did feel pretty damned strong and good about myself. I liked how I looked in clothes and out of them. I was thinking what if I'd never experienced those good feelings about myself? If I'd been overweight and/or never known what I was capable of physically? A gloomy thought, but that's reality for a lot of girls and women.

I was trying to decide if I'd already seen Food Matters or not. I don't think I have, so I'll watch it in the next few days. Thanks for another great link! emoticon
