John's Holiday Challenge

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

It's the holiday season, and for me, that means too many delicious snacks and calorie-heavy drinks. Worse, it means I start pushing aside my workout time in favor of dinners, parties and nights out.

Not this year. I plan to be healthier at the end of the next six weeks. I have created a Holiday Challenge that will help me stay on track through the holidays, end the year feeling great, and start 2013 with momentum to keep it going.

Spark Buddies, I give you John's Holiday Challenge:

It's tough, yes. But I'm tougher.

Happy Holidays, friends!

Happy Thanksgiving !!

I'm going to do my best to be mindful of my portions. I'm going to indulge, but try not to overindulge too much.

Firstly, AWEsome holiday song. Now guess what's stuck in my head? emoticon

Secondly, I too have created a holiday challenge, simply to get in 90 minutes of exercise 5-6 days per week 'tween now and New Year's Eve. It can be any combination of cardio, strength/muscle conditioning and flexibility.

I haven't put together a formal schedule yet but I will build a framework that allows for some flexibility as well and that will accommodate my work schedule which will get busier the closer I get to xmas.

Anyway, thanks for the ongoing inspiration and great ideas. Happy emoticon DAY!!!
