I can feel already this post will be all over the place but here goes....
I ran my first half marathon last weekend and it was wonderful and awful all at the same time. This week I'm relaxing a bit. I'm continuing to do exercises but not as much or as intense as my body recovers. I'm also in the assessment phase with my ActiveLink and I don't want to be running 10 mile training runs and have it think that's normal.
This morning I finally got out of bed and did a Nike app workout and some yoga and I can't even describe how great I feel. I feel good that I got my heart rate up, that I stretched, that my body is able to do what I ask of it and that I can now do things I never dreamed of. I try not to obsess about my weight as much anymore but I still have goals, they involve toning, HR, and fitness levels but I'm still surprised sometimes by how my life has changed since starting this journey.
Today I'm taking a moment to enjoy all these things and as we head into Thanksgiving DH just told me he brought his running shoes on our trip - I'm taking this as a huge win and something new for both of us.
It's a great time to appreciate the little things!.
