Good morning Sparkers!!
Inspirational thought of the day:
If you BELIEVE that you can, you are already halfway there.
How many times have we doubted ourselves?
How many times have we started something (such as a weight loss journey), but secretly didn't believe we could achieve our goals?
How many times have you proved yourself wrong? You ARE capable. It takes hard work, every single day; but it is WORTH it. I am worth it.
I also felt really amazing this morning. I felt good... I felt happy :) I CAN DO THIS.
RECAP ON NOVEMBER 20TH 2012
I had this issue with coming home late and having to cook a meal (that took about an hour) and so I only ate dinner at around 8pm. I was hungry at 4pm, so by 8pm I was ravenous. I measured my portions but I just wasn't satisfied and had to take an extra serving of rice. I counted it into my daily calories and still fell within my range at a total of 1453 calories. However, that's cutting it a little close to my limit of 1550 so I will try and plan ahead a bit better for nights where I come home late.
A small banana and some beef jerky. Mmmm beef jerky. It is just SOO satisfying for me and although the sodium is high, the calories are relatively reasonable and the protein keeps me fuller, longer.
I sure made up for the day before (when I had forgotten my bottle) and just chugged water ALL day. I felt better though and my mouth wasn't dry. However, the bathroom and I became very well acquainted.
I went to the gym after work and since it was a cardio day, I did 30 intense minutes on the bike, then a 15mns walk at an incline. I was feeling good so after my cardio, I did 3 sets of leg press at 250lbs. A light set for me, but just enough to get those muscles active in order to speed up my recovery!
Oh, and I even went to the mall during my lunch and walked at a fast pace for 30 minutes!
The scale is UP this morning to a solid 202lbs. Yay.... lol That's an increase of 2.2 lbs since yesterday morning. Considering I was within my calorie range and I put in a solid 45 minutes of cardio, I'm going to absolutely IGNORE the scale today. It did not phase me.
As I had mentioned in yesterday's blog post, my dehydration was probably the reason why the scale dropped to 199.8lbs and I expected an increase.
Keep on truckin', I say!
OFFICIAL BETTER SLEEP CHALLENGE
I was in bed by 10pm. Here's the proof:
However, it took me a while to fall asleep. I might have gotten 6 1/2 or 7 hours of sleep but at least I'm implementing better habits.
I did NOT press snooze! YAYYY!! My dog, however, snoozed her way until it was time for me to leave the house.
So here's to another fantabulous day!!
