Wednesday and reporting in!

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

Sorry for being missing on the boards. Lots happening.

I went to the sleep specialist Friday - I have sleep apnea - back into hospital on last Sunday night, wired up again and testing a mask. Appointment tomorrow to organise hiring the CPAP machine and a mask - back to that specialist 21 December.

Off to Albury today to see back surgeon - have to have another cortisone injection in my spine, and if that doesn't work, surgery on L3, L4 - not as big a surgery as before on L4, L5.

I had the cortisone injection in my hip for the bursitis - that has helped a bit. Don't think I will have the injection in the left hip - see how the one in the spine goes.

Been on track most of yesterday and all today. WI and WW in the morning.

I bought myself a Fitbit - I lost my Omron pedometer last Thursday grrrr.... but the Fitbit seems good.

Enjoyed the day today in Albury shopping before seeing the surgeon. Bought 3 new tops and some bits and pieces, had morning tea and lunch and stayed on plan! Woo hoo.

Hugs
Sandy

Since you do have apnea, it is wonderful that you will get the CPAP. I had a sleep study done on the 11th of this month. I haven't heard from my doctor yet. Chances are I will be getting a CPAP too. Good going on the rest of your great accomplishments for staying on track! emoticon emoticon
