Got out for a ride Monday with Dwight. We met Greg by the PML main gate and did our loop around the lake. Then Dwight and I rode on home, 20 hilly miles. It was cold but I’m glad we made it out.
Went out for a ride again today. Drove to Knight’s Ferry to ride in the flat lands (relatively speaking). Alan, Dan and Debbie came with me. We did some exploring. I’d been wanting to see where Willms Rd led. We found out. The map looked like we could loop around to Oakdale but before we got there, the pavement ended. Two of us (Alan, me) wanted to ride on the dirt road but the other two weren’t keen on the idea. So, we turned back but decided to make a right instead of a left just to see where that road would lead. We had to turn back due to time constraints so will have to explore there again another time. Still did close to 30 miles and had a great ride. Went to the Roadside Café for lunch. Burger was good.
Paving is being done on Hwy 108 and we got stuck in the backup both ways. On our way home we were able to take some of the back roads to get around the mess. It’s nice knowing the area!
I ended up being late for choir practice but got in a good two hours of rehearsal.
It feels good to have two days of riding under my belt for this week. No rides planned for tomorrow but I may go out on my own anyway. Thursday will be spent driving for five hours and spending time with family. Looking forward to that. Friday is another bike ride and Saturday too. This has been a great week for cycling!!!
