MY THANKSGIVING BREAKFAST: A&I Week 3 Easy Recipe

Tuesday, November 20, 2012

Disclaimer: This isn’t what I will be eating on Thanksgiving morning – but I couldn’t resist the picture. Doesn’t this look like a fun way to start the day?

Now to get back to the topic: favorite foods for Thanksgiving. Most recipes center around the big feast so just to be different I decided to focus on breakfast. This year I discovered a tasty, easy way to start the day. Here’s the recipe:

PUMPKIN GRANOLA YOGURT
1 serving 0 Fat Greek Yogurt (I use Fage brand)
1 Tbsp. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Butter
1/3 Cup Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Granola

Mix together and eat immediately. emoticon
Protein = 26 grams and 270 calories

The granola and pumpkin butter are so popular that my Trader Joe’s store has a hard time keeping it in stock! (In case a Trader Joe isn’t available for you, maple syrup and your favorite granola is always good.)

Or you can always try out the cute turkey pancakes. : )

No matter what you are serving I wish a very blessed Thanksgiving Celebration to you all, my friends.

Hmmm wonder if it will work with regular yogurt since I don't like greek yogurt.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you CJ for a new and healthy breakfast recipe. It does sound yummy and different. I have a TJ real close to where I live so hopefully they'll have some left. I love TJs and always find interesting new foods and things to try and but there. I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. Take good Care.

Hugs & Love,

Jill

I LOVE THAT PANCAKE. AND I HAD TOTALLY FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING SPECIAL. THE LAWN CHAIRS AND THE TOAST THEY SERVED. I WONDER IF THAT WILL BE ON THIS YEAR. I MAY HAVE TO WATCH IT.

The turkey pancakes is so something my daughter would have done when her kids were younger! Thanks for sharing. I loved it even though I am not a pancake eater.

Thank you for the breakfast recipe though. I printed it off as a reminder to give it a try. Probably not for Thanksgiving, but definitely before Christmas! emoticon emoticon
