Cell Phone Update

Tuesday, November 20, 2012

The frustration over the cell phone has subsided. Lo and behold, we were out in a service area today and I took DH phone with me. Thought I would just see if anything could be or was accomplished. I called a number and it rang. WooHoo! We still were docked two weeks of days -- don't know why when they deactivated us for no reason. Oh, well, planning to look around for a deal on something else in January when it runs out.

It took forever to get cell service in our area but verizon is the only one in our area now..son's who have ATT do not get service here but we got disgusted with the billing on verizon..we wanted basic phones ...no texting..no data, etc..and they were charging us $100 for 2 phones..so we went to Straight talk..bought the phones and set up our service where they auto bill us each month and ourbill now runs $60 for 2 phones and we have texting and dataplan..(hubby uses but I still don't)..Phones are a hasstle and remember when we had dial and party lines..those days are long gone.

We are in the country and do on many occasions have problems etc. DH rings and complains and explains the problems this causes us. We have been able to get credits which is only fair considering they are not providing the service they say they do. Do complain, especially if you have been severely, personally or in a business sense inconvenienced. For us we work from home and the phone is vital to our business.
