Amazing!!!

Well, after feeling so down and exhausted yesterday, I woke up feeling fairly energetic and happy. It's amazing how just a couple of days of being on track with eating well and exercising makes such a huge difference physically and emotionally.

I must say, though, that I'm feeling a little nervous, scared even, about the holidays. I often have difficulty with "self control." And once I get off track, then it's hard to get back on. I'm going to do my best to not overdo it with the eating and not berate myself if I do. Anyone else scared right now?

    It is a rather scary time of the year but I have discovered that one should not deny oneself of the different foods available but do follow two simple rules: 1) moderation-eat what you want just do so in moderation. Allow yourself to taste the food you are eating and really enjoy it; and 2) choices-would you rather have the extra cookie or a large plate of fruit? It really is all about moderation and choices, make the right ones!

    I'm concerned yes. To combat this I'm planning ahead my plate of food. I'm going to eat on schedule and budget in the pie in my total calorie intake. But yes I tend to have little self control as well. I once went to a China Buffet. It took me two weeks to work off the weight I gained. So I'm planning ahead and I hope to have a good day.

    I'm glad you're feeling better :) and I don't usually get veered off course during the holidays so I'm not worried myself... and I'm Canadian so our Thanksgiving was weeks ago but I'd suggest PLANNING ahead. If you know you're going to indulge here and there, make sure you do it withing reason and work it around your daily calorie range. There's a way of having your "cake" and eating it too :) Just takes some thought and planning.

    Terrified!
My first fight is with the weekends. I do good all week, then boom! the weekend is here and I typically go crazy.
With Thanksgiving on Thursday and leftovers sure to be abound.... I am shaking in my boots.
But, I also tell myself how proud I will be if I DON'T go crazy.

    You just have to look at it as any normal day. Eat a regular breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enjoy the food but take small portions and remember to be grateful for all the blessings in your life.
