Today is my 567th consecutive day of cardio.
A special welcome today to members of the November 11 through November 17 team. Today is my 567thd consecutive day (streak) and I would like to challenge all of you to strive for similar streaks.
Today will be a short blog as I'm getting ready to skip town and head for the country until Friday when I head back for the office.
Our Virtual Walk/Jog/Crawl Across America Team reached the end of the trail on Friday with 1.4 miles left over (or perhaps it was a 1.4 mile swim out into the Pacific Ocean!
For those who asked me, obviously it's a little late to join my un-official team. However, there is a Spark Team dedicated to the Virtual Walk. I'm a member of that Spark Team, not one of the leaders, and you can join it now. If you can't find it ( Look for the team name, "Virtual Walk/Run/Cycle thru US @ exercise.lbl.gov" ), send me a SparkMail message and I will send you back an invitation to the team.
Congrats to all you who participated in the 4063 mile trek from Virginia to Oregon. It took 216 days to traverse the distance. You guys are wonderful!!
Who knows, I may come up with another fun challenge in the future... stay tuned. For now, my blogs will go back to the mundane reporting of my workouts and weight maintenance.
I've still got another ten pounds or so that I may want to lose at some point. My waist has the V shape but I've still got a little of what girls call a muffin top, right below my belly button (and what DO they call that on guys?) that I will need to get rid of eventually, but for now I'm enjoying the emergence of at least part of a six-pack in my stomach area. It's pretty cool!
Oh and I'm still doing the HIIT intervals, one minute at a time along with weight training and body weight training.
Thank goodness I've got a fitness area at the office!!
That's it for now, everybody have a great Thanksgiving Holiday and I look forward to writing more next week.
