SHARING OUR BURDENS

There are times when we feel our challenges in life are way too overwhelming. We feel alone and ashamed that we are in a situation that we believe may be out of our control. We feel like no one cares about what we are dealing with and certainly no one can help. However, we have a mighty God. He knows our situations and He cares. We should be grateful and willing to share our situation with Him and others knowing that we can put our hope in Him to find the solution we need. When we share our burdens with others, it gives them an opportunity to help.

1 Peter 5:9-10 “Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are. In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.“ (NLT)

Dear Lord, we thank You today that You do have all the answers. Help us to open up to You and to others about what things are burdensome to us. Help us to know and be grateful about being able to share our burdens with others who care and can help. Help us not to be worried about being judged but know that You have put others on earth who can help and want to help. Thank You for loving and helping us through the difficult times and for giving us others who want to help as well. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
