Long short week

Tuesday, November 20, 2012

Eating lately has been so so. I had 3 1800-1900 calorie days in a row, lately that's a huge achievement. Last week was kind of a bummer. I cut one of my toe nails too short, so then I was dealing with an ingrown nail for 3 days with baths trying to fix it, which let to no runs. My old lifting buddy was supposed to meet me at the zumbathon, texted her like 6 times about it. I told her I was going even if my toe hurt, cuz I didn't wanna miss it. She didn't show as usual. YET there was photos of her drinking on facebook that night. I understand she's a new mom and busy. But when ppl waste your time saying they will be somewhere, I lose all respect for them. Simply saying "I can't make it" means 5 million times more than just not showing. Anyway she is kinda the deciding factor in me returning back to my gym after the freeze. I miss her water aerobics class, but if she shows no respect to me, I am not going back. No one else I know anymore goes there. I tried going back before when we were having these little fights and it was weird between us. I kinda wish we never became close friends. She was better off my teacher and that was it. UGHHH this really sucks I donno what else to do. I live close to a YMCA but it's old and crappy for what u pay. There's another gym that's too expensive for me and too far. I wish I had a solution. I wish workout buddies were as important as drinking buddies, but I guess they arent. Oh yeah as a result the zumbathon sucked. I am just not really feeling zumba anymore.

We had our first thanksgiving last Saturday. For our actual day I think we are going faux turkey this yr. The field roast is only 4 servings. I am gonna make normal sides but small. So we don't have days and days of leftovers. I am determined this yr to not put on 10 lbs.

Photos have been sucking lately. I work all the daylight hrs and am left to shoot in the dark, bleh! Plus I have nothing going on besides lots of griping lol

Day 62: My week of baths. Tea baths that is. Better use up my tea baths cuz I am sure I have 6 or so coming my way at christmas.

Day 63: Closing time at work.

Day 64: My bookend white cats who will not be associated with one another.

Day 65: A shot in the dark

OMG Dan and I are laughing at your white cats!!! That is hilarious!!! Hang in there on a gym. I wish you could come to my gym! I've heard it is expensive unless you are a student or alumnus! I would totally work out with you. I have missed you so very much.

I do that sometimes with the toenails and hate it.

I am shocked that someone into fitness would miss the zumbathon to go out drinking. It seems weird to me. I mean you can drink any night.

I don't like tons of leftovers either. A few are okay but a couple of days worth is plenty.

Loved the pictures. The grocery looks really neat. As do the parallel cats. My favorite is a shot in the dark.

Still loving your photos - the bath one is great!

And yeah, work out buddies who blow you off are not fun! Good luck! (Hope the toe feels better!)

Great pics! I especially like the first one. It looks so relaxing. I'm sorry about your gym buddy, that stinks. I know exactly how it is to not have a gym anymore. I seriously am having the same problems, except about the workout buddy part. I hope to find one later on. It's so hard to get involved in a new gym.

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving week!

I like any kind of bath - not just tea baths!!

Are your white cats hearing or deaf?? I have a couple friends who have white cats that are deaf. (but not albino... go figure. I'm not that into the biology and all like that!!).

I used to like taking night photos of cars driving by, holding the aperature open for seconds - random numbers.... sometimes 10-20 second exposures and just let the cars' lights slide all over the frame. Usually looked pretty cool. Some kid stole the camera I was using - it was my dad's camera and was at my dad's house at the time, so anyway.... don't get quite the same effect with an iPhone.

Keep plugging along!!

Man everyone keeps dissing the Y's in their communities, but we have really awesome Y's, just that I'm just not awesome enough to get off my rear and drive to one. Most of ours well, I think maybe all of them now, have been built new or rebuilt from scratch in the last 20 years, and the oldest one - the one downtown - is in final stages of being rebuilt before the open house in early December. But most all of them have big zumba areas, big yoga and pilatees rooms, really they are almost TOO intimidating for me.

Which reminds me, I need to go there and sign up for the Battle of the Bulge...

Have fun!!

Great photos! Tea bath? If your friend? was a good instructor it may be worth it to move forward and just be in her class. You are exercising for YOU not her!
