First, thanks everyone who shared thoughts about my question about alternatives to turkey. Fun to see what people have planned - such a diversity! I'm hungry just thinking about it!
Today began hurried and hungry but got better as it went along:
Breakfast: Tea, banana (nope, didn't get in the almond butter
Mild strength training and half hour of ice skating followed.
Lunch: Chile con carne, followed by five squares of dark chocolate
Snack: GF brownie, almond milk... later a serving of almonds while cooking ...
Dinner: sauteed zucchini from this summer's crop, two large tomatoes added, cooked with bacon (delicious. Next time I'll add the mushrooms I considered but saved since I didn't know if this would turn out).
Capped off the evening by watching, at my teenage daughter's invitation, "Captain America." Fun, total escapism. But now I do want to go back and read all the Marvel comics I missed as a kid!
Tomorrow we go Thanksgiving shopping, it will be fun to see what we come up with for T-Day dinner. So many choices!
