I managed to kick my butt back into full gear today. Woke up, ate a bowl of cereal, played a video game, went back to sleep - and then when I woke up, I apparently snapped right out of my funk and started working. I prepared the kitchen to make bread, made said bread (two loaves), followed it right up with making the roast for dinner. I read a bit while the roast was cooking, since those take time, finished dinner in the last 20 minutes it was in the oven.
Jeremy complained about the meat being too red - may have been my fault, since I joked about the jus on my hands being blood, but still, that meat was frigging perfect. The good news is that there's plenty left for lunches, and I saved some veggies and gravy to make myself a soup tomorrow for my own lunch - Jer's getting a sammich.
Here's my lovely bread:
The cooking and rising times needed a lot less than the recipe I was following called for - about half the minimum. Maybe it's an altitude thing? Also - THAT STUFF IS HARD TO KNEAD! It's hard to make to begin with, since I have to do the mixing with a fork, but damn.
Anyway, there are fifteen minutes before bedtime, so I'd better go get ready.
