I love Monday!!

Monday, November 19, 2012

Unlike most people i love Mondays. They are usually a great day for me to relax, play around in the kitchen, sew or craft, and basically do what i want. I don't let myself clean the house and i try to have all my homework done by Sunday night.

Today i canned a bunch of different kinds of dry beans. I also made a couple different kinds of whole wheat bread to see if there was one we LOVED and to do an experiment by freezing the dough before it rose. Next week i will thaw and see if it works or not. We just don't eat enough bread to make it worth making a batch fresh...we always end up throwing half a loaf away and i hate that. That took up most of the morning :)

I worked out to a couple sparkpeople video's and then ran on the elliptical for 35 min. I haven't run intervals for a while so thought i would do that for 45 min but ran out of steam. Amazing how good a cool shower feels after a good sweat!!

I spent time catching up on email and reading sparkpeople blogs and articles. Yep, a very relaxing fun day!! Thank you to Janis for encouraging me to finally get pics on my spark page.

We got the lights up on the outside of the house over the weekend and cleared the space for the Christmas tree :) I love decorating for Christmas! My birthday is thanksgiving day and so we are going to decorate the tree and light it all up!!

School tomorrow! so better get off here tonight. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!!

    I emoticon Mondays too!!!
For me, they are my day to relax on my own schedule. DH goes back to work, DD does her bookwork, and I don't have to run around on anyone else's schedule. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one! It's always weird to me to see all the "I hate Monday" pics that ppl post on FB, then the "TGIF" pics too. I'm like, are you kidding me? lol.
Wishing you a lovely Monday in 4 days!!!
And a Happy Thanksgiving.

I have a presto canner it holds 7 qts or 9 pints. I usually use pints since it is only 2 of us :) I love canning!! i like to make extra soup and can it, too. I prefer frozen veggies so have a freezer full of them.

i will let you know about the bread experiment! I did get small loaf pans and think that will help. Fresh bread is just so good with soup!

and Janis, the answer is yes and no. One pic is me and my youngest daughter who is a sophomore in college and another was my cousin and his family at the relay for life in Omaha, Ne. :) Now there are lots of pics of all my peoples lol.

You all are the best!!! emoticon

Ooh, you have a pressure canner? Can you tell me what brand? I really would love to start canning beans, but I don't have a pressure canner yet.

    I love Christmas decorating too!!

Good luck with the bread..I never throw bread away..I make hubby bread pudding or use it for croutons or bread crumbs or freeze bits for stuffing for the holidays. Maybe it would help for find rally small bread pans and make a mini loaf so you can have it fresh.

Let me know how making your own frozen bread dough works...sounds like a great idea.
