Did i happen to mention to anyone that today was a Maniac Monday??? If I didn't, trust me when I tell you it was EXACTLY THAT!! I am finally sitting down for only the second time today, we/I have been on the go the ENTIRE day!!

The morning started with a nice healthy breakfast with the fam, my Healthier Tortilla Breakfast Burrito. We got the kids ready and off to school and then the mania began. Tami and I went to the gym and spent an hour and a half whoopin our butts!! Today was by far the best workout so far, and I managed to reach some new non-scale victories. When I met with my trainer the first day, he had me get on the elliptical. Mind you I was scared to death even though I have always wanted to try it. By the time I hit the 3 minute mark on that thing, I was ready to call it quits, but I pushed through it and made it five minutes and thought I was gonna die...Today, we did the elliptical together, and ya'll I was on that puppy for 15 minutes!!!! emoticon Then it was off to do some strength training, added a couple more upper body things to the mix and upped my weight on each machine by 10-20 pounds!!! By now, we have a good sweat going.... the thought of taking a 2 minute breather crossed my mind.... but Tami said nope let's go!! So we hit the treadmill for 20 minutes at a 3.5 incline and 3 mph... emoticon i was feeling the cardio boy howdy.... again a 2 minute break would've been ok with me....again Tami said NOPE and we went straight to the recumbent bike and did 2.25 miles in 10 minutes on that bad boy!! emoticon We finished off with a couple lower body exercises.... ya'll I thought I was gonna melt to the floor I was so wet from sweating!!

So a pretty good start to the day.... but we didnt stop there, oh no.... home to shower then off to do some grocery and home shopping at the dollar store (I didn't realize how much I love that place) and then to walmart... we needed to go grocery shopping, but were afraid that we wouldn't be home in time for the kids and at that time it was a stormin, i guarantee!! So we came home and put stuff away and pretty much put off the rest until tomorrow. Sat down for about an hour, then went and got the kids. Now I have a little issue, when there is something that needs to be done and i don't get it done, it drives me ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!! So what do I do, I take off for the grocery store and finish off our shopping, including a 50 pound bag of dog food, and tons of veggies and canned goods. Came home and put all that away and ate dinner. You might be able to imagine at this point how tuckered out I was..... not to mention that I have a head cold that I am fighting.... so here I sit now, typing my blog and reflecting on the 7 miles today on my feet plus the strength training plus all the shoppong.... I think being a little tired at this point is acceptable. My nutrition was good today.... my daily calorie differential is a whopping -3500!! Everything i ate i burned!! Time to put out the cat, kids are ready for bed (well one is in bed) and wind myself down for the night.

    emoticon FD! What an awesome workout, don't know if I could do that? Yet anyway. Love 80's music too! Big time roller skater in late 70's and 80's so Funk and Disco are more my forte'. Like the moniker too... similar in some respects! emoticon

    i caught a cold two weeks ago and am still hovering between well and tired, so your manic Monday exhausted me just reading about it. LOL but on the whole I love busy. Busy is so much better than bored. So you go and you nailed that Monday and showed it who's boss....good for you. congrats on the extra time on the cardio wow sounding really good.

  I am soooo proud of you and your wife. Will you adopt me? HAHA. This is my first week on spark diet and fitness and I am also kicking my butt on the exercise, cycling daily and exercise with DVDs. I feel great!! My husband is thinner than me but I am getting there. He can eat anything and never gains weight (but I love him to death). We cycle together every day here in Florida. So great to have a partner to exercise with on the beach (even though it was 55 degrees and windy as all get out today. P.S. that elliptical will half kill you, but it works!!!
