Mon 11/19-New Puppy!

Monday, November 19, 2012

What a crazy weekend! Friday night when I got home I just felt lonely. I made myself a decent, if high-calorie, dinner and ended up vegging on the couch with Netflix. However, before I did that...I filled out an application to possibly adopt one of a litter of puppies I had seen online at a rescue not too far away. I've been considering getting a new dog for awhile, but it was never quite right. I wasn't even sure if I was going to get one...but I figured why not try. Then, after talking to my mom, she decided to apply too.

Fast forward to Saturday-I took A to a birthday party, got in a 10K run (close to a PR!) and went to get my hair done. On the way there, I got an email that I had been approved for a puppy! Turns out, mom was too. So...Sunday morning we ended up driving 45 minutes south and we each adopted a black lab mix puppy. Eep!!

She's awesome! We named ours Fudge (Mom has Raven) and she is just the sweetest thing. Totally a cuddler. Definitely one of the smallest of the litter, she's about 7 pounds at 10 weeks. Here's a pic...

She seems really smart and very friendly. I'm so happy to have a dog in the house again. Or I will be once she's trained anyway!

Today I got in a 3.3 mile run, plus about 2 miles of walking. My food was okay, I did not get all my water in (and I'm feeling it!) But, tomorrow is another day.

Make tomorrow great!

Goals for tomorrow:
64+ oz water
Workouts: 30+ min Kickboxing
Track food and make good choices
In bed by 10

LOL at 7 lbs -- my dogs together only weigh about 20! Enjoy. Happy thanksgiving.
