Moving Along

Monday, November 19, 2012

During the depths of the last two months of poor nutrition and not moving, I stopped reading Runners World, stopped reading my friends' blog posts here on Sparkpeople, and even stopped spinning the good old sparkpoints wheel (am I the only one who feels silly doing that everyday?)

One of the ways I know I'm getting better is that I've started reading again, and planning, and, well, caring.

Today I am going to try to work out with my rowing machine. My dad gave it to me months ago, but it needs oiled and adjusted, so it's just been leaning against the wall. If I can't get that to happen, I'm going for a walk/run. My knee has been hurting, and I think using it will help.

I'm so glad you are back and feeling better!
The rowing machine must be great...
I would surely buy one if I had the place.

And I like spinning the wheel everyday : ))

Good Job getting back on the exercise wagon. Its hard sometimes especially if things in your life aren't cooperating.

You can do it!

I actually enjoy spinning the wheel. My husband always asks what I get out of it and I just tell him I like to see how many points I get. It entertains me! :)

Welcome back! Maybe I can get back into the groove of things too... It's been... Oh I don't know... September or early October since I've made regular appearance on here. I miss you ladies!

Good for you. If you just oil and adjust the rowing machine you've done something very good, also if you don't get around to using it yet, because you are clearing the way for future exercise!

Sorry to hear about that knee. I wouldn't do anything high impact like running if your knee is bothering you. stick to a walk for now. walking is fabulous cardiovascular exercise. I walk everywhere. I have to, don't own a car. LOL !!!

Oh and you can always do upper body strength exercises with resistance bands or hand weight if your knee keeps bothering you. Work your upper body muscles while that knee takes rest. every little bit does make a difference.
