So, didn't realize it had been four days since I blogged last. I kept telling myself 'Oh, I should put that in my blog' and then just never did.
Well, to start off with, I am down 3 pounds so far. I have to admit that it feels good to keep track instead of just guessing based on how I feel. Of course I want the weight to drop off sooner, but I know that this is the healthy way to do it. I've been told many times that it took me half my life to put the weight on, I can't expect it to all be gone the next day. Takes time to fix what it took time to make. This time it will be different though, I can tell. I've got someone to do it with and stay accountable to. And I have you guys!
It feels good to have made a commitment to moving again as well. My leg has been holding up okay so far. The chair exercises are wonderful! I do think I pushed it a teensy bit this weekend with an extended working Saturday and grocery shopping yesterday. So I am sore today, but not to the point where I can't do something about it.
I've also noticed, and Andy has said this as well, that it seems like we have been eating out less since we started this. I think because we are thinking about what we put in our mouth not just the fact that we are hungry.
I am still having some trouble with my eating though as I seem to get full fast, but then hungry again just as fast. I have been eating healthier but there are still some unhealthy things I have such as the occasional soda or dessert. I'm thinking this may be causing blood sugar spikes and crashes, hence the full/hungry/full/hungry thing. Will work on this in the next week.
