Finding my way back on track

Well, I just got out of Dr's office (yes, again!) And we are going with a water pill to see if that helps with the swelling. I'm up another 2.5 pounds :( so with clothes the scale says 295. Which is not HORRIBLE (especially considering the things I ate this weekend, and didn't even bother to track because I don't need to feel even worse about what I did).

But I'm on my way in to the Y in a few minutes to change and go to class. I didn't have time for a proper breakfast, but I did grab a cup of tea and a protein bar. Its better than not eating and I will fix a decent meal when I get home, I promise. It may be an orange, a sandwich, and a container of greek yougurt, but nutritionally- it will be sound. Then again I may end up with a cup of bean soup, a banana and some low fat cheese with wheat crackers. At least I have healthy options in my cupboards and fridge nowdays!

I'm going to work on my pumpkin pies for thanksgiving. I'm trying to find a way to make them less sweet, but still nice and thick. I'm thinking more pumpkin and egg and less sweetened condensed milk. I use whole fresh pumpkin, not canned. But I do cheat and use canned sweet milk. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. And right now I'm pretty limited with what I can manage in the kitchen.

I went into the Dr office today with just the cane. The crutches were in the car. I'm not brave-or stupid-enough to go up and/or down my steps without them yet. For some reason, I'm getting intermittent screaming sharp pains in the area of my knee, but it doesn't seem to be the knee? It's almost like a pinch, but internal. It is annoying. If it keeps up, I will ask ortopedist about it in 3 weeks. I don't want to be whiney and calling them all the time.

Well, time to get going if I don't want to deal with last week's drama again-which I don't!
