Did not stay the course

Monday, November 19, 2012

I gained back two pounds this weekend.
I did not stay on track, I did not even try to follow my game plan.
Friday night the BF had asked me to go to the local Univesity's hockey game where he is the volunteer annoucer. I was in charge of dinner and made us a very filling and carb laden meal of Biscuits with ham and cheese. I cannot believe I ate three.
After the game we went for a beer, I only had one, but I shared his loaded fries. I wasn't even hungry, and I just didn't even think. I ate.
Sat we had a road trip... lots of fast foos eaten on the 6 hour drive. When we got to the destination (a social gathering) I proceeded to get drunk. Need I say more?
Yesterday was lost to the well deserved hangover. emoticon

Back on track today. My treadmill and I will spend time together again tonight. I need to shed these two pounds again quickly and think I can.
Of course Thanksgiving is this week too but really, this morning, I can only face the thought of Today.

You are not alone. I slipped up this weekend too and gained 2 pounds, but am going forward to a better day. "Today I am going to be amazing along with every day hereafter"

You can get back on track. Don't beat yourself up. We all have times when we don't make the choices we really hoped to and know would be best. That is part of being human. The important thing is getting back in the saddle and trying again.

I made such a pig out of myself yesterday... it's unbelievable! I'm back on track today too.

Don't kick yourself - you probably stopped your body from going further into its starvation mode. That's a good thing, Earl emoticon

Hang in there. You can do it one day, one minute, one meal at a time
