Monday: 2 days 'til road trip

Monday, November 19, 2012

With Thanksgiving just a few days away, we will be heading out on our road trip on Weds. We will be traveling 5 hours, to Winslow, Maine for a family holiday. I will have control of what I eat while enjoying our celebration with an Aunt I hadly see, but talk to almost daily, an Uncle from Temple, Maine who we haven't seen in 3 years and a menu that I am having a major part in planning. With not thinking about Thursday's feast, I need to plan Weds. long ride: easy peasy! Perhaps oatmeal for breakfast and freggies packed for the road. No reason to eat rest stop foods, right?!

Right now I am working hard on walking the walk of weight loss: can't keep talking the talk without intentionally sticking to the walk! I will be missing weigh-in with Tops on Wednesday night, but will weigh-in at my Aunts to report my weight for the Dawgs Fall Challenge. Been really trying to get in at least 1 mile daily, drink all my water plus some, and also, whether it shows or not, to get in more freggies..still not enough-but I'm trying to make an effort!

I am with you that we have to walk the walk and not just talk the talk. I think I might read the talk more myself!

Keep in mind that the weigh in at your aunts will be on a different scale and scientifically cannot be compared to one that keeps the scale the same. So if you show a lower weight don't get too excited and if you show a higher weight, absolutely do not let it make you sad! Have a great Thanksgiving! emoticon on the planning!
