Running the Fall Classic in Cleveland w. ON2VICTORY

Monday, November 19, 2012

Yesterday I ran the Fall Classic with Robert (ON2VICTORY). The weather was superb, and I can't believe Robert (from the UP of MI) talks about it being cold. LOL.

I have done this race a couple of times before, and it really a nice local race (although not the most scenic) that attracts a lot of people - from very competitive to people who wants to run their first HM. It is flat (=fast) so it is a perfect place for many to PR, and it has turned out to be a complete sell out over the last couple of years, which of course is because running (and walking) has become very popular (triathlon still remain the fastest growing sport).

Robert told me a few months ago he was coming through town, and if there was a race that day. Yes, he did ask if there was a HM, and we signed up so we could run together.

On Saturday we met for race package pick up (with his family) and then we went for lunch. The race itself was totally Roberts - and will let you read his blog as that will make so much more sense.

Congratulations Robert. Nice work. (you can read why for yourself)

Jan, I know Robert ran the race but from his blog I am fairly sure he would not have gotten in under 3 hours if it wasn't for your support and encouragement.
