It's 7 am and I'm writing form DS14 to wake up so we can get started again.
We left IL at 6:45 yesterday. Traffic was fine, weather clear, listened to books on CD. A few glitches: DS14 forgot his trumpet. And I didn't hear from the house sitter until 4pm, so starting noon, I was calling neighbors and coworkers to go check the house. But no one either answered, was close by or available. Finally she called. Her phone was in her car. Everything was fine with the dog. So, good.
Filled up the car twice, about $30 each time. Brought food for the trip. Nice deli turkey, whole wheat bread, Greek yogurt, and Special K protein shakes. Also bottled water.
About 5 we stopped in Youngstown Ohio & we're at a Comfort Inn. $79, is that good? Room is small but clean, and has wifi. I plan o work out when my son showers, then I'll shower, we'll eat breakfast & hit the road.
It's a 17 hour trip. So we did most of it yesterday. And will have an easier time today. That;s why I'm not rushing to get moving.
When I was packing for this trip, I packed my calendar that I write my daily weight on, and I found underneath it another calendar from last year, that I started in Oct 11, I guess when I started daily weigh in & recording on calendar. If I'm nothing else, I'm consistent. Well, my weight now is in the same range as it was a year ago! And yet I am stronger, more buff, and have a better attitude toward daily exercise. Also gave up diet soda.
