What a beautiful piece of... PLYWOOD!!!
My countertop will not be installed before Thanksgiving. UGH!! emoticon No countertop. No kitchen sink. Large gathering for dinner, including 3 of my son's friends from Japan who chose to have dinner at our home. Well, I guess I have to be creative. emoticon

Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks. I'm thankful for my home that has kept us safe throughout the storms. I'm thankful for power and heat. Others aren't as fortunate. I'm thankful that we are able to share our holiday with family and new friends.

Am I still upset that I have no countertop or kitchen sink? Heck yeah! But the positives outweigh the negatives.

Now how do I proceed to present a Thanksgiving feast using water from the bathroom without grossing out my guests??? emoticon

    I am so jealous of those beautiful countertops...LOL! I am truly jealous you get new countertops, though. I hope you enjoy them when they do come in! I'm glad to see you're staying lighthearted about the situation, and remembering what the holiday truly is.

    Lovely! emoticon Nice attitude, Miss Hattie - the attitude of the hostess matters SO much more than the surroundings, in my experience. As a guest, I want to feel welcomed (and fed ; ) I bet you are a wonderful hostess. PS I love the suggestion to get the huge jug of water/dispenser.

    Put the water in jugs or pitchers and no one will think twice about where it came from.

    Oh Hattie, whatever you choose to do for thanksgiving it will be fine..it's about family and friends being thankful for what we do have....
Is there not a company over there you could hire a large bottle water like they have in the offices?
Missing you online but all going to be worth it once it is all done!! then you can sit back and enjoy... emoticon

    Boy it will be so nice when it is done. We are having new flooring in the family room and library (almost a closet) but we are not having company but going to my daughter's.
