Of course we CAN!

Monday, November 19, 2012

It is supposed to be mild to-day, way up here in the north.-----
Yesterday himself and I, strung lights on a tall Blue Spruce---
It looks lovely!
You see, up here in Canada, we are right into Xmas---
You, in the U.S., are getting ready for your Thanksgiving---
In both events, if we eat carefully now---stick to the alotted calories, exercise, and journal--ALL day, when it's time for that Turkey and the decorating of the tree, we will be a happier camper---We will feel healthier -and happier!-
It's never too late to get started---
We CAN make healthy choices , starting right now----
Enjoy to-day SPARKLERS_

What exactly does MILD mean when you live in Northern Ontario.
Being from the Wet coast, we don't allow winter to come until December or January, so your definition of mild and mine may be worlds apart.

I've already had several opportunities to drop $ into the red kettles of the Salvation Army on my trip. That's normally a Christmas thing, but even they have started before US Thanksgiving.

The question for me is whether I'll make it home by Thanksgiving... still in Florida with a long drive ahead!

I so believe in what that quote says.

We were suppose to leave for Kansas in the morning but DH is very sick (upper respiratory) so has taken medication and is now back in bed. Bless his heart.

We are here for Thanksgiving so it us so it is going to be baked cornish game hens, cornbread dressing, and potatoes.

Keep up the good work.

Yes we can!! But you have the wrong impression of us in the states. At least some of us. Two houses are already decorated on my walk. They were decorated for Halloween. But now Charlie Brown in the Pumpkin Patch is replaced with outdoor lights, candles, and a gigantic blow up Santa. He is usually blowing up when we walk by and my Yorkie goes crazy. The other house decorates for every holiday. The Christmas tree is up inside with blue lights.

My tree is going up tonight. I love the lights and try to get away with leaving it up until June. emoticon

It has been mild here, too. I put up some of the lights outside already. I am going to try to watch what I eat this week! Have a great day! emoticon
