Trying New Approaches

I like my one cup (BIG cup) of coffee in the morning. I like it with sugar and evaporated milk. But I want to cut some calories. Also, processed sugar is devoid of any nutritional value. And I don't want to use artificial sweeteners. So I started using brown sugar, especially after learning from a Spark article that it has more nutrients than it heavily processed relative. And while in the store yesterday I grabbed some molasses, because that's even BETTER. And 2% milk works well enough in the coffee. (Sorry, skim and 1% just makes it - GRAY!) emoticon So this morning I had my coffee with MOLASSES. Hm, interesting flavor. Not unpleasant.

    It sounds like you're getting creative with your coffee! I think creativity is a must when striving for a "healthier" life style!! It helps not only with caloric count... but boring, blah, foods and beverages!!

  I like it with brown sugar or molasses. Next month, we will have to get sugar in the raw for you and me. It's a little more costly, because...it's less...processed? Stupid food industry. Anyway...yeah. Sugar in the Raw.

    I'm not a coffee drinker but a tea lover. I was using sweetener in it but now drink it black.
